2016 Bridal Party Hair!

Bridal party members are some of the most fun and loving people that I get to meet while styling wedding hair. It is so fun to spend the day with a group of people that are so happy to seen their mutual friend get married.

Here I will share a few highlights of some of the bridal parties I was lucky to spend time with in 2016.

When Karley got married in May, her bridal party were each looking for a style that left hair down in super soft curls. Super cute with their dresses that day!

Another group of girls that I loved were Ashley’s bridesmaids in October. These girls were so much fun to hang out with. They all had beautiful style and they were super chill throughout the whole day!

I love when a bride knows how to relax on her wedding day and really spend time with her close friends. When Laura got married in May, it was super hot. There also may or may not have been an AC issue causing it to feel even more warm as she and her bridal party got ready on her wedding day. Rather than freak out, my friend Laura made light of everything and had a blast with her friends. I loved spending time with them all!

Another group that I loved spending time with was Andrea and her bridesmaids. These girls really loved their friend and bride to be. So much love! Plus getting to see her family was a treat. Andrea’s mom is easily the sweetest mom ever.

In July, Kailyn got married! My favorite part of her day was seeing how different each bridesmaid chose a completely different style. Even though they were different, they totally complemented  the entire wedding party look.

I don’t have group shots of each and every bridesmaid and maid of honor, but I do want to share with you a few more snap shots of some bridesmaid updos from this year!

It’s not secret that I love an updo, but I do love the challenge of finding new ways to do a half up style, or to create curls that are dramatic and beautiful!

As you can see, I have gotten to meet some amazing and beautiful ladies this year. Each one of them are a best friend, a sister, a cousin, a college roommate, or maybe a sister-in-law to be. I’m so happy to have met each one of them!

2016 Highlights!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 4, 2017 by Elisha Evans Styling

Wow! What a year 2016 turned out to be! Once again, I have spent the year getting to know some really amazing ladies as they prepare for their wedding days. I am super lucky to get to spend time doing what I love. I would like to share with you some photos of brides that I have been lucky to style hair for this year.

I’ll start this little recap with a couple of my favorite updos. I think everyone knows that updos are my favorite! But these two ladies chose styles that I love so much! My dear friend Laura has amazing hair. I love that she let me go crazy with volume and create her big, beautiful, romantic, giant updo.

Shannon also go married in May and had the most perfect and delicate headpiece to go with her updo. I loved it!

One thing I enjoy most about this amazing job I get to do, is getting to help put the finishing touches on a unique wedding day.  For example. In May, I got to spend the day with Madelaine and her bridal party. She had a very specific vision for her day. It was elegant, and vintage with a little bit of whimsy.

Sweet Sabrina got married in August. She is hands down, the most kind person. I have known Sabrina and her family for a very long time. I was very honored to be chosen to be a part of her most special day. I am still in love with the head piece that he made herself to wear that day. and her updo was pretty classic and timeless.

Andrea got married in July. I had met this lovely bride 3 years earlier when I styled her hair for her big sister’s big day. It was truly special to be apart of this wonderful family’s celebration again.

Sometimes, the most simple and classic of updos can have a dramatic effect on a wedding day style. Valerie got married in November and chose to keep things classy and I loved it. I especially enjoyed the volume of this updo paired with the simple head piece that she had remade from a family heirloom.

One thing I enjoy most of all is working with brides who have a very specific vision that also need to tie into very traditional guidelines. When I met Nadia and saw her amazing hair, I was so excited! I got to style her hair for a couple of her traditional ceremonies. On the first, she wanted a super long braid decorated with flowers. I still smile seeing the photos of this epic braid. On the second event, she and I created a massive, breathtaking updo. I would seriously love to style it all over again. The final look was decorated with so many beautiful pieces. It really did feel like a magical princess kind of moment!

Speaking of braids. I love braids! Meghan was married in early September and her long braid is still one of my most favorites!

Hannah got married on October 1 and I will never forget how laid back and relaxed she was as a bride. I definitely enjoyed working with her. Plus, she chose to wear a lovely updo!

One of the most elegant styles I had the pleasure of styling this year was for Megan. Plus, I loved all of the volume! After seeing this style with her amazing dress, I really was a little speechless.

Karley’s wedding was in early May of 2016 and even though it was almost a year ago, I will never forget how lovely she was to work with. I loved the texture and fullness of her hair. Not only was she amazing but I love her family. How lucky am I to work with such amazing people!

Finally, Ashley was married in October and I had a blast with she and her bridal party! I won’t soon forget the fun times with those ladies. I loved how Ashley chose to keep her long ombred hair in soft loose curls. It was a perfect match for the glam of her dress.

This was just a small sample of my year and as you can see, I had an amazing 2016 wedding season. I would love to share with you photos from each and every one of their days. From glamourous updos to soft pretty curls, my brides have the best style! I’ll sit down later and share with you some more photos of the great bridal parties I got to meet in 2016 soon!

I want to thank each an every bride that chose me to be a part of their amazing days. I always tell people that I have the best job, and I mean it! Even though my part of their big day is pretty small, I’m lucky to be there to share in the love and fun. I wish each of my brides a long marriage full of fun, love and happiness. Looking forward to seeing what 2017 has in store!

Best wishes! Love you!

Hello out there!

It has been a long while since I have been able to sit down and share with you some fun stories and photos from wedding season 2015! What a year it was! Here are a few stories and pictures from the year. I can’t seem to find photos of every single bride I was lucky to meet, but trust me, it was a year full of beautiful hair!

The season started for me in February with Ashley and Michelle’s wedding.  It snowed like crazy on Ashley’s big day but she was a beautiful bride! I did not style Michelle’s pretty short hair, but her bridesmaids were pretty amazing. It was wonderful to be a part of that day.

In April I got to meet the lovely Marissa. At her trial, we practiced a style with her hair all down and curled. On the day of the wedding, she decided to where an updo. I loved it!

Kathryn, Andrea, Lauren, Shannon, and Melissa were my May brides this year. I loved the sparkling headband worn by Kathryn and the giant flower worn by Lauren was really breathtaking! Shannon had my favorite half up/half down style for the year. She looked amazing! My wonderful friend Melissa was the final bride for the month.

June proved to be a super rainy month for my brides. But even with all of the not so fun weather, these brides shined through and chose some pretty styles. Stephanie’s updo was super soft and Jackie’s vintage look was one of my favorites. Maureen had lots of texture and Blair’s beautiful long hair was show stopping in a half up style.

Michelle and Amy were my only two brides for the whole month of July. While I can’t seem to find a pic of Amy, here is a pic of the braided updo that Michelle wore!

August was so busy! Tiffany, Casey, Laura and Erica all wore their long hair in half up/half down styles.  So pretty and each unique. I loved the double braid in Jen’s updo. I was lucky to style for several parts of Hina’s wedding celebration. This was a crazy busy but very fun month!

September was busy too! Michelle had one of my favorite looks for the year. I am a sucker for a cage veil! I also got to style a few times for Nabihah during her wedding weekend. I don’t have any photos from Lori’s big day, but I remember that she and her bridal party were so nice! Heather’s headband looked perfect with her soft curls.

October is always my favorite month as I am a former October bride myself. Justina changed things up on her wedding day and instead of wearing the low updo we practiced at the trial, went for a much higher updo that I loved. Nicole also had an amazing updo, while Eleni and Hayley went for long curls. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos from Abbey’s big day but let me tell you, she was the most calm and sweet bride.

The final month of wedding season 2015 was November. Lauren, Janaya and Liz were the November brides. Lauren’s family were amazing to spend time with. I wish I had photos of all of their hair but I can’t find any! Janaya’s Oglebay wedding was fun. Her updo was the best! These pics do not do it justice. Final bride of the year was Liz. If there was an award for “Most Laid Back” Liz would win hands down. It was the perfect day to wrap up an amazing wedding season.

I am so thankful to have the best job ever working with the best brides. I am lucky to get to be a small part of a big day for these lovely ladies. I’m sure that some of these brides were stressed but they all were beautiful. Thank you to each and every one of you for choosing me to be a part of your day. Happy New Year to you all and may your marriage be as fun and as beautiful as your wedding day.

I am so excited with 2016 approaching to see what the wedding season will hold for me. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each of the brides-to-be as they get ready for their big day.

Happy new year and all the best wishes to all of you! ❤ ❤

On the first Saturday in September, it was Elaina’s turn to walk down the aisle. I was happy to spend the morning with her and her bridal party. I got to style some very beautiful hair.

I loved how Elaina’s updo turned out. Especially her side parted bangs and little sparkling comb.

Lindsay’s Big Day!

Today was Lindsay’s wedding day and I was very happy to be the stylist for her and the large group of awesome bridesmaids that she spent the day with. These ladies were a super fun time.

Lindsay was an out of town bride. Doing all of her wedding planning from Philadelphia. So we met several months ago for a trial run. At that time we discussed a low updo. Today, it turned out even better! She wore this very classic look with an amazing gown.

Lindsay had a very large and fun bridal party. Here are some of the styles her bridesmaid chose to wear as the stood by her as she said “I do.”

Lindsay’s big day was a lot of fun. I am happy to have been a part of it.
