The first half of 2017 has been a super busy one. From styling hair for beautiful weddings, to cuts, color, and balayage fun at Copacetic! Here are just a few quick photos of some of the gorgeous hair that I have had the pleasure of styling so far in 2017!

You know how much I love an updo! I have also had fun finding fun and new ways to style hair half up and all the way down too!

Styling hair at Copacetic has been super fun too! Here are a couple pics of hair I have cut and colored there too!

Looking forward to seeing what happens next in 2017! Also looking ahead an excepting booking for 2018!

Hello out there!

It has been a long while since I have been able to sit down and share with you some fun stories and photos from wedding season 2015! What a year it was! Here are a few stories and pictures from the year. I can’t seem to find photos of every single bride I was lucky to meet, but trust me, it was a year full of beautiful hair!

The season started for me in February with Ashley and Michelle’s wedding.  It snowed like crazy on Ashley’s big day but she was a beautiful bride! I did not style Michelle’s pretty short hair, but her bridesmaids were pretty amazing. It was wonderful to be a part of that day.

In April I got to meet the lovely Marissa. At her trial, we practiced a style with her hair all down and curled. On the day of the wedding, she decided to where an updo. I loved it!

Kathryn, Andrea, Lauren, Shannon, and Melissa were my May brides this year. I loved the sparkling headband worn by Kathryn and the giant flower worn by Lauren was really breathtaking! Shannon had my favorite half up/half down style for the year. She looked amazing! My wonderful friend Melissa was the final bride for the month.

June proved to be a super rainy month for my brides. But even with all of the not so fun weather, these brides shined through and chose some pretty styles. Stephanie’s updo was super soft and Jackie’s vintage look was one of my favorites. Maureen had lots of texture and Blair’s beautiful long hair was show stopping in a half up style.

Michelle and Amy were my only two brides for the whole month of July. While I can’t seem to find a pic of Amy, here is a pic of the braided updo that Michelle wore!

August was so busy! Tiffany, Casey, Laura and Erica all wore their long hair in half up/half down styles.  So pretty and each unique. I loved the double braid in Jen’s updo. I was lucky to style for several parts of Hina’s wedding celebration. This was a crazy busy but very fun month!

September was busy too! Michelle had one of my favorite looks for the year. I am a sucker for a cage veil! I also got to style a few times for Nabihah during her wedding weekend. I don’t have any photos from Lori’s big day, but I remember that she and her bridal party were so nice! Heather’s headband looked perfect with her soft curls.

October is always my favorite month as I am a former October bride myself. Justina changed things up on her wedding day and instead of wearing the low updo we practiced at the trial, went for a much higher updo that I loved. Nicole also had an amazing updo, while Eleni and Hayley went for long curls. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos from Abbey’s big day but let me tell you, she was the most calm and sweet bride.

The final month of wedding season 2015 was November. Lauren, Janaya and Liz were the November brides. Lauren’s family were amazing to spend time with. I wish I had photos of all of their hair but I can’t find any! Janaya’s Oglebay wedding was fun. Her updo was the best! These pics do not do it justice. Final bride of the year was Liz. If there was an award for “Most Laid Back” Liz would win hands down. It was the perfect day to wrap up an amazing wedding season.

I am so thankful to have the best job ever working with the best brides. I am lucky to get to be a small part of a big day for these lovely ladies. I’m sure that some of these brides were stressed but they all were beautiful. Thank you to each and every one of you for choosing me to be a part of your day. Happy New Year to you all and may your marriage be as fun and as beautiful as your wedding day.

I am so excited with 2016 approaching to see what the wedding season will hold for me. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each of the brides-to-be as they get ready for their big day.

Happy new year and all the best wishes to all of you! ❤ ❤

Hannah F’s Big Day!

Earlier in July, I got to spend the day with Hannah as she and her bridal party got ready for the ceremony. The bride-to-be and I had a trial near the beginning of summer where we tried several different styles. For the wedding she had decided to go with an updo that was worn slightly on the left side.

For the bridal party, Hannah asked that they all have their hair in some form of an updo. It was a lot of fun getting to know these girls and helping them to find a style that was their own.

I really loved the way that everything turned out and had a lot of fun with these girls. Thank you to Hannah for letting me be a small part of such a big day! Best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

Carol’s Big Day!

Back in early November I got to spend the day with a very sweet bride before she walked down the aisle on her wedding day. Carol and I had been talking about her hair and makeup since the middle of May and now the day had finally come.

Normally when I meet with brides for a trial run of their hair they sometimes have a picture or two of a style that they like. When we got together back on July she had the exact style picked out and a photo of every possible angle that you could imagine of this hair style. She was a very thorough bride-to-be!

So on the morning of her big day, Carol and I got to work on curling her long thick hair. Most of the hair would remain falling down her back but the rest would be pulled up from the side and front, leaving only her bangs to accent her face.

She also chose to wear a sparkling barrette in her hair to finish the style.

Carol was a great bride to work with, very sweet and knew exactly what she wanted. I’m very lucky to have gotten to be a part of her special day. Thanks again for choosing me to be there with you!

Lynetta’s Big Day

Yesterday was my friend Lynetta’s wedding day. She and I have known each other since 3rd grade. Like many people do, we lost touch for several years but thanks to the wonders of social media, we reconnected about 5 years ago. When she told me that she and Jeremy had gotten engaged I was thrilled! I was honored when she asked me to be involved in her special day by styling her hair and makeup.

Since the wedding was to take place in Columbus, OH and she had recently moved to Boston, MA, there was no time for us to get together for a trial run of her hair. So through the past year we have talked, mostly through emails and Facebook, discussing exactly what she did and did not want for her wedding day style.
When the big day finally arrived, she decided that she wanted subtle Victory Rolls to bring an element of vintage to the day. I curled the back of her hair for lots of volume and the swooped her bangs to one side.

To finish the look, she chose to wear a cage veil.

Lynetta is a wonderful person and I am lucky to call her my friend. I am very thankful to have been there to celebrate with her on the day that she married such a great guy. I wish for them all the love and fun in the world! Thanks again Netta, for letting me be part of your big day.  ❤

Carol: Trial

This weekend I got to meet up with bride-to-be Carol for a trial run of her hair and makeup. Even though her wedding is not until the beginning of November, she contacted me back around the first of May. Since the wedding is taking place a few hours from her home, and each of her bridal party members are traveling great distances, Carol was looking for an on-location stylist to keep things simple for her traveling friends.

One of the things I have loved about getting to know Carol and her bridal party so far is that along with our email correspondence, she invited me to follow her on Pinterest. With this I have been able to see all of the ideas that she has liked when it come to not only hair and makeup but bridesmaid dresses and styles that her bridesmaids love too! So when she arrived I felt like I knew exactly what to do with her hair.

We started by curling her hair with several different sizes of curling irons. Then I made a deep part on the right side of her head and began pulling large curls back. This created a lot of texture along the sides. I weaved the curls around each other to make a good base at the back of her head for the fingertip length veil that she will wear for the ceremony. To finish her style, she has picked out a very sparkly fascinator.

Carol wanted to use neutral tones for her makeup. I love the way the golds and browns highlighted her eyes. She has a great skin tone and the pinkish lip color pulls together the whole look nicely.
I am already looking forward to November when I get to travel to Oglebay to see Carol and her friends!
